As we wrap up 2016, CODA presents a final line-up to dance into the new year. First up, Australian house producer Sonny Fodera celebrates the release of his latest studio album ‘Frequently Flying” while on his North American Tour on December 2, along with Walker & Royce. Job Jobse makes his return to CODA with local support from Hali, Aquatic Mind, and Aleksander Kocic December 3, while Prism Events brings UK Disco heroes Horse Meat Disco, back to CODA on December 9 followed by a visit from Montreal’s sparkling duo Blond:ish Saturday December 10. South African house producer Culoe De Song will make his CODA debut December 16 with support from Gera, Borzoo and DJ Yogi. Lastly, CODA welcomes you to ring in the New Year with Thugucker on December 31, with support from Toronto’s own Jonathan Rosa, Gera, Alberto Jossue & Night Vision

Following the release of his album “Frequent Flying” which was released November 4 on Defected Records, Sonny Fodera embarks on a North American tour with New York house producer Walker & Royce.  The Australian born, UK based producer has had a reputable year in  dance music. With his recent Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1, followed by the release of his album “Frequent Flying”, 2016 has been good to Sonny.

Saturday December 3: Job Jobse

The return of Job Jobse (Innervisions) brings a rush of excitement to CODA with Toronto having big love for the Dutch Producer. His deep driven sounds, and cross-genre selections have filled rooms such as Panorama bar in Berlin, 11 in Amsterdam and he was also once resident and talent buyer at the world renowned Trouw. His internship at Berlin based label Innervision set his career in motion, leading him to explore both the production and business side of dance music. Now, on top of his flourishing DJ career, Job Jobse also leads a roll as label manger for Life & Death, and has close ties to the highly acclaimed German-American label.

Friday December 9: Horse Meat Disco 

Prism Events brings UK Disco queens back to CODA on Friday December 9Horse Meat Disco are a DJ collective that have brought the modern disco circuit back to life. Defined in their biography as “Dedicated to the industry of human happiness… It’s the queer party for everyone; Homos and Heteros, club kids, bears, fashionistas, naturists, & guerilla drag queens.” If your a fan of the disco, this is a supergroup you don’t want to miss.

Saturday December 10th: BLOND:ISH

Blond:ish (Compakt / Get Physical) have been a vibrant muse in dance music since they broke into the scene in 2009. Their presence both musically and energetically has drawn in fans and friends across the globe. Natives to the culture rich city of Montreal, Anstascia and Vivie-Ann have carved a niche sound, that draws from international influence, a flare for experimentals, and their poise and fervant attitude towards dance music. CODA warmly welcomes their return on Saturday December 10 with support from Sam Haze & Thomas Cardin.

Friday December 16th: Culoe De Song

On Friday December 16Culoe De Song makes his CODA debut, with a strong bill of locals including GeraYogi & Borzoo. Culoe De Song is a product of the thriving house scene in Johannesburg, South Africa which has been a spectacle to the global dance music community. After being discovered by South African house legend Black Coffee in 2007, Culoe De Song quickly fled into the western house and technosphere, being featured on labels such as Innervisions, Watergate, Soulistic, and his very own imprint De Song Music.

Saturday December 31: NYE 2016 With THUGFUCKER 

Toronto’s premiere underground nightclub CODA offers a blitz of glitter & glam to ring in the New Year on December 31, 2016. The cities elite promotional teams Platform, Mahdavi, Floh, Way Of Acting and of course CODA welcomes you to join in on an evening of celebration as we look back on another spectacular year of music with friends, while dancing into 2017. Curating the music is American-Icelandic DJ duo Thugfucker, alongside Toronto’s own Alberto Jossue, Gera, Jonathan Rosa Night Vision.
